The children's home in 2015
At the beginning of the year, Oceane, a young volunteer from France spent three months with the children. As we can read in her report, the children developed from being fearful to confident personalities. The children are eager to learn and strong at football, they like to play, but also help their caregivers by taking care of their younger siblings, but like all children can be at times rebellious.
They also have plans for the future. One girl wants to become an accountant, a boy wants to do an apprenticeship as an electrician and another wants to become a priest.Even the younger ones progress: a shy girl realized how exciting the world is and another boy discovered how much fun it is to read.
The Polish volunteer Magdalena discovered the sports talents of the children. During her stay, two goals and one basket were constructed by the workers from the construction site of the new house. The children divided themselves in two teams: Poland and Cameroon and made a series of competitions not only in sports but also homework, painting, reading etc.
Back in 2010, as the association began to support the children's home, it was all about giving the children a shelter, some food and medical help. Some time later it became possible to send them to school and now we are happy to accompany the children on the personal development journey and support their way into intedependence.
