2014: a dream is slowly becoming reality
The construction of the first three buildings was finished during this year. The electricity was installed and the beds arrived. Over the summer months the scaffolding was removed, the external stairs were finished and the rooms were colorfully painted.
Also this year there were volunteers coming to Cameroon: there were people from France, Switzerland and Poland. They encouraged the children, engaged with them and spent time together. Children learned to dye eggs for Easter and made greeting cards for Christmas. When a computer course was offered during the school holiday, the 5 oldest children were very happy to attend it.
If you ask the children what they want to do most, they unanimously choose: “take a trip”. So they were twice in the Center Climatique (a recreational park in the countryside) near Bayangam, and even for the first time went to the sea!
